Congratulations to Alum Adrienne Boire

We congratulate Adrienne Boire, a 2004 graduate of the Biochemistry program, on being named one of the 2019 Pershing Square Sohn Prize winners.

Adrienne Boire, an Assistant Member of the Human Oncology & Pathogenesis Program and Neurology Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, has been named one of the 2019 Pershing Square Sohn Prize recipients. The Pershing Square Sohn Prize for Young Investigators in Cancer Research focuses on supporting high-risk research conducted by young investigators in the New York area.

Adrienne completed her PhD in Biochemistry at our school under the direction of Athan Kuliopulos, MD, PhD and Lidija Covic, PhD and went on to complete an MD at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Following a Neurology residency at Columbia, she completed a fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and post-doctoral fellowship under the guidance of Joan Massagué at the s institution.

Her research focuses on mechanisms involved in on metastasis to the central nervous system (CNS).
