Dear Sackler Community,

Yesterday we had 35 Masters, PhD and MD/PhD students participate in Commencement where Alex Fine, a Genetics graduate from Jackson Lab, delivered a thoughtful and inspiring student speech. In total we have had 23 PhD, 5 MD/PhD and 11 Masters students graduate this year.

Friday afternoon we held our Awards Reception where students and faculty honored those students who have won awards this year. At the reception we announced the winners of three competitive year-end awards. Congratulations to Giang Nguyen (IMM) and Frank Scangarello (IMM MD/PhD) for winning the Krinsky Excellence in Basic Science Teaching Award, JoAnna Leyenaar (CTS) for the Lasagna Award for Translational Research and Christina McGuire (BCHM) for the Dean’s Award.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and award winners.

Daniel Volchok, Associate Dean
