There's a lot to be proud of at Sackler!
Jaharis Building in the spring

Dear Sackler Community,

I’m proud of our school and how we train to our three strengths: research excellence; collaborative spirit; and career excellence. Last week and this week illustrates this. Last Thursday, we held the first annual Sackler Celebration of Service where we honored Marge Beinfeld, Jerry Faust, Ira Herman, Brigitte Huber, Laura Liscum and David Thorley-Lawson for their service in teaching, mentoring and leadership to our school. This week on March 6th we hold our annual Mentoring Workshop and this year it will be led by Ruth Gotian EdD, who directs Cornell-Weill’s mentoring program. For the first time include students with faculty to share best practices on this important facet of what we do. On March 7th, we begin our popular short course Introduction to Drug Discovery taught by Stefan Gross that adding a new component on Chemoinformatics. Finally, on March 14th, we will have the first ever Sackler Revisit Day as a means to convince our accepted recruits to join us. We need your help to participate and serve as ambassadors of who we are. We provide these events to enrich your education as they align with our three strengths but it is up to you to take advantage of these opportunities that will help you be the best biomedical scientist you can be.
