Ordovás Research Suggests Insufficient Sleep is Linked to Heart Disease

Genetics faculty member Jose Ordovás and his team find that sleeping less than six hours each night increases the risk of heart disease.

A study conducted by Jose Ordovás and his group indicate that having eight hours of good sleep each night is important for health. Lack of sleep is linked to high blood sugar, high blood pressure, inflammation and obesity, all of which are linked to heart disease.
