Dear GSBS,

As we near the end of Spring semester, we reflect on the past year and look forward to the future. We continue our Master’s admissions and successfully completed our PhD admissions process. We are looking forward to welcoming 24 new PhD and 4 new MD/PhD students to GSBS.

At the same time, we are preparing for commencement and honoring 8 Masters, 26 PhD and 4 MD/PhD students who graduated this year. Please join us in our annual Graduation and Awards Reception on Friday, May 20 at 3:30 p.m. in the Jaharis Café/Courtyard. We will honor our graduates, along with those students who have received an award or performed service for GSBS this year. Drinks and a taco bar will be served!

As we reflect on the past year, one thing that inevitably comes to mind is managing the ups and downs of the COVID pandemic. While we may be moving into an endemic stage, we still need to be mindful of the effects COVID continues to have on our community. We will continue to maintain necessary precautions:

  • Masks on the Boston Health Sciences campus are voluntary but will continue to be strongly encouraged. Please be aware that some individuals may be immunocompromised or live with others that are. They may choose to wear masks for whatever reason and for as long as they feel the need. Please respect one another’s comfort level and decisions about this.
  • We continue to offer all our courses, seminars and other educational activities in a hybrid mode to allow access for those who cannot or choose not to come to campus.
  • If you are symptomatic or test positive, you should not come to campus. Please see the If You Are Sick page for how to report a positive test and additional information.

Please consult the Tufts COVID website for additional information. This site is updated on a regular basis as guidance and policy is modified.
