Research synopsis:

My current scientific interest is in using single cell transcriptomics to understand the dynamics that regulate epileptogenesis. There are dozens of cell types in the brain, each presumably contributing uniquely to the dysfunction that causes epilepsy. With my work using single cell analytical techniques, I will be able to see the molecular changes at a higher resolution and identify key players that shift a healthy brain into an epileptic brain.
