Education:
BA, Biochemistry, Barnard College, New York, NY
Research synopsis:

I am studying how transcript levels of the protein alpha synuclein (SNCA) are associated with bone and metabolic effects of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias (ADRD). I am using bioinformatic and biostatistical tools to analyze rich multiomic and multi-tissue data from the Rush Institute of Alzheimer's Disease's ROSMAP study, the Framingham Heart Study, and a cohort study of postmenopausal women in Norway, to better understand the molecular associations with SNCA that may contribute to ADRD and its peripheral effects.
