Research synopsis:

I completed my PhD in Cell, Molecular & Developmental Biology under the direction of Iris Jaffe, MD, PhD.

My thesis research centered on the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) and its ligand hormone aldosterone are known to regulate blood pressure at the level of the kidney and also play a role in hypertension.  My thesis research uses a number of mouse models to study the role of endothelial-specific MR in the development of atherosclerosis and vascular inflammation.

I am now completing the third year of medical school.
