Research synopsis:

My project focuses on Lassa virus, an arenavirus that causes a hemorrhagic fever. I use a biophysical approach to investigate the conformational dynamics of the Lassa glycoprotein during viral entry. The ultimate goal of my work is to understand how Lassa infects cells so that we may design therapies and vaccines against the virus.
