Mentoring Circles

Mentoring circles are designed to provide a safe and confidential space for GSBS students to seek advice and get varied perspectives in a forum of peers. This program was co-founded by former students Carrie Hui Mingalone, Siobhan McRee, and Daniel Wong and continues to be student and postdoc-run.
Students are matched with like-minded peers based on answers to a brief survey and groups set their own meeting schedules. Each group are encouraged to meet on at least a monthly basis. It is hoped that members will be advocates for each other and also serve as accountability partners.
Topics that may be discussed are at the discretion of the group, but suggestions include:
- Career development topics, including planning, interviewing, networking skills
- Time management strategies
- Life-work balance
- Professional development skills
