MS in Biomedical Management
The Tufts MS in Biomedical Management (BiomM) leverages the academic strengths of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences to offer outstanding training in biomedical sciences and pharmacology, combined with additional training in management and business offered by the Tufts Gordon Institute.
The typical candidate has an undergraduate degree in the sciences. Significant hands-on laboratory experience is optional. They may have industry experience through a job or an internship; they may not yet have started their career, or they may be looking for experience that will allow them to grow into a management role.
Candidates who fit this profile may be interested in the full two-year, in-person program. Prospective students also have the option to enroll in individual courses via Tufts University College. Individual courses may be offered online or asynchronously, and up to two courses can be applied toward the MS degree for those who later choose to enroll in the degree program. Those interested in enrolling in individual courses should reach out us via our Inquiry Form, or by emailing email@example.com.
Students enrolled in the full MS program will receive academic training in the biomedical sciences, a hands-on research experience, two internship experiences or a worksite projects within biotech or pharma, and training in management and entrepreneurship. Graduates will be highly competitive for R&D jobs in industry and will come out of the program with a skill set uniquely suited for managerial positions in a laboratory environment. Participation in cutting-edge research and rigorous training in the biomedical sciences distinguish BiomM graduates during their job search. The internship experience and management courses provide a competitive edge for those looking to break into biotech, pharma, or science management. The program will graduate rigorous, collaborative scientists who also understand what it takes to succeed, and lead, in industry.
